The new 18-bed Emergency Care Center was designed so each room is visible from the nurses' station. All beds are monitored and multi-functional. The additional space allows for two separate entrances and also space for triage, medics, registration, dedicated lab, decontamination area, and negative pressure. It also includes a secluded family waiting room and a children's waiting area.
This 27,670 s.f. medical office building houses over 40 exam and procedure rooms, offices, and support spaces. Special attention was given to make sure that the facility was designed to address urgent care needs, as well as day-to-day health services, within an efficient layout that breathed a sense of calm and compassion no matter the interaction.
The Presence Health OB Unit was designed to improve staffing flow and communication, to provide a first-class patient experience, to provide PCMC with a competitive advantage within this service line, and to allow for growth.
