Augustana College was in need of a central location to welcome students, serve as a center for financial aid assimilation, and help both staff and students in the admissions process. At about 24,000 square feet, this state-of-the-art student center will act as a gateway to everything students may need, from textbooks, meeting centers and recruiting help.
Standing at three stories, the building will be full of resources for both staff and students. The main floor will serve as a welcome center for all current and prospective students. The second and third floor will feature dozens of admissions and financial aid offices, giving staff the space they need for recruiting.
The center will also showcase numerous multi-purpose meeting rooms, each fit with presentation spaces, as well a large board room for meeting with prospective students and parents. On top of it all, the center will contain a large bookstore to help students prepare for upcoming semesters.
How do we create a versatile space fit for both students and staff together?
