The design and construction of these laboratories was sensitive to the concurrent schedule of classes which continued throughout the process. Daley College has a contemporary approach to instructor/student interaction, and the design solution reflected this concept by incorporating custom lab tables and smart board technology with fresh colors and materials. Each laboratory also includes computers/monitors at every work station, writable wall surfaces, and new laboratory safety features.

The project included the conversion of four existing classrooms into two new entry level science laboratories: one for Biology and one for Chemistry. In addition, one existing Chemistry Laboratory, circa 1970, was gutted and completely renovated into a state-of-the-art facility for high level science courses. Each lab was outfitted with new casework, fume hoods, sinks and gas valves.
