This thriving church and growing pre-school and K-8 school were attempting to thrive together in the existing church spaces. The adaptability of the existing church spaces from weekend services to weekday school functions had become very problematic. The desire was to create separate and dedicated spaces for each function that would allow for more effective teaching and worship environments.
A master plan and existing facility study was performed to determine the best and most effective first step. Phase one of the master plan was a balanced approach that would provide updated or new spaces for both the church and the school. The building addition and renovation provides for the functional needs of the church and school as well as contextually responds to the existing site and architecture.
