Noted as the State of Illinois Pilot Project for Sustainable Design, the LEED Certified Workforce Development Center is a comprehensive economic development resource dedicated to providing direct assistance to area business and industry and to providing a broad range of degree granting educational programs, applied training, and technical assistance specifically designed to serve the business and industrial community. Sustainable concepts include geothermal energy, sustainable materials, indoor air quality control, storm water treatment, and full building systems commissioning, in order to achieve the goal of certification. The resulting design is for a building of an architectural style that blends with the scale and detail of the existing campus.
