The Instructional Commons North Building includes areas for traditional classrooms, fully computerized hybrid classrooms and faculty offices. In addition to these, the building also contains two science labs, a ceramics lab and a 3D/sculpture studio. Having hybrid labs that are fully populated with computers allows instructors and students the greatest flexibility within the classrooms. A second story footbridge connection to the Instructional Commons Building allows for an extension of that building to the rest of the campus.
