Interior Designer

We are currently looking for an interior designer for our Central, IL office with 8-10 years of experience and professional degree from an accredited university (NCIDQ preferred). The position will require the ability to work as a member of a project team, good communication skills, and the ability to present interior concepts to clients. Competence in space planning and the use of color and pattern is essential. Responsibilities include selection of interior finishes and furnishings, writing specifications, developing budgets, production of construction drawings in Revit, and administration of furniture bid packages and installation.  Experience with educational and senior living projects a plus.

Position Description

• Working with the architectural project’s lead designer, develop coordinated interior design solutions that provide the appropriate aesthetic response within the clients’ needs and program requirements, including basic interior finish treatments, floor and wall patterns and interior colors.
• Recommend appropriate interior finish materials for consideration to Project Designer/Architect.
• Collaborate and communicate with other members of a project team on interiors issues and how they interface with the project architecture.
• Develop materials and finish boards and other required presentation media.
• Present finishes and furniture options to clients.
• Produce sections of the project specifications as appropriate. Verify that the terms and conditions on the drawings meet the specified product requirements.
• Provide furnishings layouts, specifications, and estimates. Communicate with vendors as required to obtain pricing and related information.​
