Hope Academy

Decatur, IL

Hope Academy, a K-8 school, was planned as a joint-use facility to be shared by the Decatur Public Schools, Richland Community College and the Boys and Girls Club. The new steel structure follows a curvilinear plan which cradles the existing Phoenix Park pavilions and playground. This 700-student school is divided into three areas - the classroom wing, the administration/performing and applied arts area and the music and physical education wing.
