As part of the new campus master plan the child care facility serves both the students and staff of Heartland Community College. The 20,000 s.f. facility houses eight group rooms for infants through preschool. The project includes exterior play gardens, an interior play atrium, and family areas for parents. This home away from home strives to nurture the growth of young children. In addition it serves a dual role for educating students within the child care field and providing child care to enable enrolled students to pursue their education.
